New Delhi, Jan (EPC News): The total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during April–December 2009 were Rs62975.58 crore compared to Rs57901.88 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 8.76 per cent. |

Vadodara, Nov (EPC News): Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone of Jindal Rail Infrastructure Limited's new railway rolling stock manufacturing facility, located south of Karjan Railway station and spread across 204 bighas (117 acres approx), in Vadodara District of Gujarat. The project involves a total investment of Rs2700 crores. |

New Delhi, Nov (EPC News): Indian Railways have carried 501.28 million tonnes of revenue earning freight traffic during April to October 2009. The freight carried shows an increase of 33.31 million tonnes over the freight traffic of 467.97 million tonnes actually carried during the corresponding period last year registering an increase of 7.12%. |
